(May 2015) Invitation

Professor João Paulo S. Medeiros was invited to present the work `Analysis of the Performance Capabilities of Large Computer Networks in the Internet of Things Scenario' at the `Microsoft Azure for Research Workshop 2015'. The event took place at the `Departamento de Ciência da Computação' of the `Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais' (DCC/UFMG).

Our paper entitled `Sensing in the Collaborative Internet of Things' is accepted by the journal Sensors (Basel, Switzerland).

This year the LabEPI professors decided to apply in the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) program as an organization. For more information about the projects involved see the ideas page.

The LabEPI domain name changed from `labepi.cerescaico.ufrn.br' to `labepi.ufrn.br'.

Our paper entitled `A Qualitative Survey of Active TCP/IP Fingerprinting Tools and Techniques for Operating Systems Identification' is accepted to be presented at the `4th International Workshop on Computational Intelligence in Security for Information Systems (CISIS)'.

The Umit Project partner and LabEPI earned a scholarship from Google to support a student to develop the `Network Scanner and Network Inventory for Mobile devices' under the Google Summer of Code (GSoC) program.

The Elements of Information Processing Laboratory (LabEPI) was the first technological research laboratory founded by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) outside the capital of the state.
